SOURCE: replace the window motor power window bolts and rivets
Take the panel off the door and take a punch and drive the pins out of the center of the rivets. Then drill out the rivets.( easy with the center pins out) Take out the assembly. Note remove the window before you start anything. 2 X 8MM bolts clamp the bottom of the glass. When down the most of the way the window will lift right out.
Replace the assembly and either rivet back in or use bolts and locking nuts. ( Loc Tight is recommended if you are not sure the nuts will stay locked. replace the window and you are good to go.
This should take about 1 hour from start to finish.

SOURCE: I need to replace the pull starter cord on my self
There will be bolts that hold the housing that have the rivet in. Remove the bolts and remove that housing. Make sure you have the right amount of cord and the proper size rope. You WILL NOT have to remove the rivets. Remove any rope that is still in the recoil pulley. Now you will have to have a small screwdriver or some thing that will be used to hold the pulley from unwinding. Now you have to turn the pulley counter clock wise. You want good tension. Put the screwdriver through the fins in the pulley so it won't unwind. Make sure you line up the hole in the pulley with the hole in the shroud. Put rope through and tie a knot. Tie the handle on and then remove the screwdriver and slowly let the rope back in. Try pulling a few times to make sure you have enough tension. When enough reassemble the shrouds and give it a pull.
Good luck

SOURCE: how do I replace the window power motor in my 1988
Most cars American-Made at least, used rivets to hold the mechanism in place. The only way to remove and replace the motor is to drill out the rivets. You can either re-install the new motor with new rivets or most new power window motors come with sheet metal screws included to re-attach the motor to the inside door frame. Either way both methods are very secure and you should have no problems with it not being secure.
NO! Do not drill out the rivets. You need to remove the entire blower cover with 4 bolts (2 up front, 2 in back)
I'm going to link you to my two favorite "How-To" videos. Depending on your machine, one of these will show you enough to do it yourself. Once you do one, You'll be a pro. Just make sure you use enough rope and do not wind the spring too tight or you'll break it;
