No sound

Webcam Audio Getting sound to broadcast with streaming video using a webcam requires a few components to work in unison. Because most webcams do not have a microphone built in, you will need to buy a microphone for your computer or locate your microphone input if you have one built in (some laptops have these). The audio and video are two separate functions and must be diagnosed as such. b> Webcam Software b> If you have a webcam set up correctly and you are streaming video, then you are already halfway there. This details only how to make the sound work, so please refer to an article related to webcam video if you do not have that working already. The webcam audio and video both communicate with your computer via your webcam's software application. Due to this, you will find that there are settings specific to your webcam software for sound. Because there are various software applications that can act as an interface for your webcam, you will want to do a product-specific search on the Internet for your application's settings. Most often you will find the settings for sounds under Tools or Settings, then choosing Options or Preferences. Regardless of the application that you are using to broadcast your webcam video, you will need to ensure that your microphone is plugged into the "Microphone In" jack on your computer or laptop. The microphone input jack is commonly colored pink. b> Microphone Connection b> With your microphone plugged into the "Microphone In" audio jack, test the audio inside your webcam's software application. Most webcam applications allow you test your microphone by reading a sentence and watching a graph move as you speak. If you see this happening, then you have correctly hooked up your microphone. If you have a Windows PC you should also see if your computer recognizes your microphone by clicking on "Start" > "Settings" > "Control Panel" > "Sounds and Audio Devices." Under the "Audio" tab you will find a section for "Sound Recording." From there you can select or change your "Default Device." b> Hardware Troubleshooting b> In the event that your microphone is not recognized by your computer, continue hardware troubleshooting by contacting your computer's support staff. With a properly connected microphone and some minor adjustments in your webcam's software application, you should be broadcasting audio with your video in no time. Hope this helps.

The built-in microphone is not working on my new logitech webcam. what can i do?

Make sure all of your audio properties are set correctly. Mics are hard to set up sometimes beucase it isnt always transparent where the audio signal is being directed to. You will need to find out exactly what the device is called on your computer, make sure it is not muted, and make sure the volume is up. You will also want to make sure your onboard mic input isnt set to default. There are numerous other settings to look out for. Let us know if you need further assistance.

My friends can't see me on my webcam

you will need to go into the options in messenger and make sure that you have set the video and audio options correctly. if it is only one person that cant see you chances are it is a setting on their side that isnt correct.

Audio not working for Quickcam

Go into Skype Tools, then click Options, and then Audio Settings, and make sure you are using the 'correct' speaker and it works when you test it. Sometimes the default speaker is not the one that the soundcard driver is using, so try each of them from the list.
Remember to Save it.

Hope this helps

No sound when connected on aim

Is your microphone integrated into your webcam? Make sure the correct device is selected. Go into Edit, Settings, Enhanced IM. Under Audio and Video, make sure the Microphone device selected is a functioning mic, such as Logitech Mic, or if using a headset, select the USB headset (if usb) or your sound card if using a mic plugged into your built in or add-on sound card.
