You have a magnetic interference problem. First, have you put any magnetic objects like speakers near the set recently. They will cause this. Turn the set off at the wall and wait for 15 mins for the PTC device that turns on the degauss coil to cool and operate. It is the loud burst of hum you here when you turn the set on from cold.

The PTC is a postive tempeture coefficient that allows alot of current to flow at first, heating up as it does, and then slowly less current as it heats. This is why you need to turn the set off and let it cool. If the problem remains The PTC may be faulty allowing too much current to flow and upsetting the magnetic flux about the tube. If you dont have the skills you will need a technician to sort it out for you.

If the screen goes completely black but still have sound then the backlight inverter board may be going out.

Hello ! this problem can come about if the video card has faults ie processor lickage or an i tem is burnt , processor over heating .
I recomend u change the video card

in your tv is malfunctioning high voltage, the audio is generated without the help of high voltage sistem how happens commonly in many other tv

If you are getting the initial 'pang'(!!!???) noise, then it looks like a cold solder in the Horizonbtal Oscillator or Hor. Output stages. The set is trying to power up, but the Horizontal Oscilator is not 'booting' up. Since it is a new set, it must be under warranty....Get it checked by the company Technician.
