What kind of car? My PERSONAL favorits that I have PERSONALLY tested are.....
Panasonic-NEVER had a bad one
JVC: my 2nd choice and if you are maybe looking for an all-in one AM.FM/MP3/DVD/iPod interface 7" flip out screen, then go Jensen. I never had a bad one either.

Tip

No audio even though sterio wires are all connected

My 1997 Alpine CDE-7828's wiring schematic doesn't disclose one important thing for many older and possibly even some newer sterios (aka 'head units'). If all wires are connected per the sterio's schematic andf sound is missing, you probably have a dedicated pin on yout vehicle's harness/connector that will read something like 'Turn-on AMP signal", <br />until you jumper the ignition hot lead (between the harness plug and your sterio) to your vehicle's 'Turn-on AMP signal' pin/connector wire (add a wire if none is supplied in your vehicle's connector), you won't get any sound even though all the other wires are connected per your head unit''s instructions.

My head unit has permeant live, i have tried swapping red and yellow around its know of red on red and yellow on red... i have to remove cover and disconnected ipod any help

well it depends on the car, if its a sunfire, theres a yellow wire that connects to the red wire that connects to the sterio, that yellow wire goes to fuse box maybe the power is constint the only way to fix that is to hock the red on sterio to an ignition source,

I ISTALL A CAR STERIO ON A 84 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIZE AN I HAVE NO SOUND ALSO I USE AALL INSTALATION KITS AND I TOOK OUT YHE ORIGINAL STERIO

did you bypass the amp thats mostly located in the trunk on the right side behind the cover. Either its there or under the rear speaker deck. You have to bypass that amp before the speakers will work and there is a kit for that too.

How do i wire up my pioneer sterio so that the steering wheel paddles in my punto operate the sterio ?

First you need a stereo that has the remote control option or you can purchase an interface from PIE (Precision Interface Electronics). This will work only if you have a remote for your pioneer. Let me know what kind of Pioneer you have and the Make, model and year of your car and I can even find you the best solution. But you also should be able to go some where such as you local car audio shop, best buy or circuit city. Good Luck.

Panasonic cd player not working when pressing the cd button on 98 jeep grand chrokee

check fuses

since you have a jeep thinking you go off road maybe hit couple bumps and jared something loose in the back of sterio system this is what i would check first

after that it might be that the sterio's face plate is not makeing connection right to base sterio

Have you called crutchfield yet? The are pretty good with customer service and stand behind their company. If they protest, get loud, they will likely bend. I have dealt w/them for years.
