Pretty sure that is just a pop in lens.If you get a small screw driver and gently put it in the side and pry. If this does not seem like it is going to work you can pull the whole assembly down. Should only be a couple of screws and some push in tabs holding it up.

This doesnt sound like something that will need a mechanic, many lights usually come with a user manual and the process of fixing it can be as easy as aiming, fitting it in properly and then tightening the screws. be sure to use the right size of screw drivers though.

Dome lights don't come on when you open the doors but light works when you push button on dome.

The dome lamp has a switch that can be put into several positions. "Door" "Off" and "On" If you want the light to come on when you open the door then you must have the switch in the "Door" position.
The "Off" position will only let the dome lamp work when you override it with the dash control and the "On" position will leave the light on at all times - door open or not.

What is an Overhead Projector?

An overhead projector is a very basic but reliable form of projector. The overhead projector displays images onto a screen or wall. It consists of a large box containing cooling fan and an extremely bright light, with a long arm extended above it. At the end of the arm is a mirror that catches and redirects the light towards the screen.
An overhead projector can be used to enlarge images onto the screen or wall for audiences to view.

How do I remove the overhead console in my Ford 1-50 to change a light bulb. I ordered the bulb from the Ford house, but they want a small fortune to replace the bulb

With the overhead console ( non rail system ), open the sun glass bin, and grab each corner in the back, and pull down.

The overhead is held on with 4 or 6 spring clips, and pulls straight down.

The bulbs are 1/4 twist sockets installed from the back of the overhead console.
