Question about Freezers
Freezer was turned off, with out me knowing the red & orange has been on had to turn the red light off was it suppose to go off by self? can't see green light with out the other 2 being on.
If you turn the freezer off for some time then on again the red light has to come on as an indicator for high temperature it goes off by itself when the freezer attains the required temperature according to the thermostat settings ,that is the lower the settings the faster the red light goes off. the orange light indicates super cooling and the green light indicates power supply.if you turn the two lights off and the freezer still works without the green light on that means that the bulb for the green light is faulty and you don,t need to worry

I used to sell freezers.the green light tells you the mains is on and the freezer should work. The red light is to inform you the freezer is not low enough temperature, and the orange light is a fast freeze light to over ride the thermostat for use when introducing fresh food.It should not be used for prolonged periods as it may burn out the compressor although in your case you already have a problem and should seek advice or buy another freezer. If you get a cheap freezer thermometer it should confirm what I am saying.

try a total defrost,to clear any internal ice(every 12 months)then switch on and if you have a rapid freeze button leave on for 24 hours to get back to normal operating temp.if you have hard ice around the door seals then you have an air leak which you must sort out(try using a hot cloth to warm seals back into shape.....seals should fit all round, all the time.

the light tell you if the door is closed properly or not . Close the door tightly and check the lights. Then open it and check them again this will tell you the positiopn of the door for each colour

This is a super freeze button, it is for when you get a lot of frozen food and put it in you can push the super freeze button and it bypasses the thermostat and runs the freezer constant to freeze the food quicker.
