Question about JVC DR-MV79B DVD Recorder/VCR
I am trying to fix my JVC DR-MV79B DVD Recorder / VCR Combo. I stick a DVD in the DVD tray and pushed it closed and it just ejected the DVD immediately without reading it. I opened the unit and checked and cleaned all the gears and and other components, put it back together and it did the same thing. I also reset the unit and it still will not keep the tray inside the system. Any light you can shed on this will be great.

Try this: unplug for 1 hour. push in tray and unplug for 1 hour. No help then your timing is off internally, decks use rubber pulleys or fixed gears. Fixed gears slip because someone shoved the drawer closed, pulleys because they are old! There is no harm at this point to open it up and see what you can do ? Other wise PRO shop. Or toss and get another, Panasonic. Please rate..
