Ibm thinkpad a31p hard drive not found

Thi sis an issue about the hard disk itself .. depending on how was formatted.. or the way was connected. you need to go to bios settings and select the hard disk in the devices .. and if there is an ahci function on . you have to disable it . cause without driver will not see the hard disk .. This is nto an issue if you install a windows 7 but for widows xp .. to work and to use it in this way ..(with the sata raid or sata achi ..) you need to run a 3rd party driver when installing the operation system .. or ....
the quick way .. go to bios by pressing F2 on start .. and in there ..disable teh raid or achi for the hard disk (must be in the ide/sata feature.. where you see the devices for ide.. you have a sata .. setting feature too .. Just select it ..and let it run in compatible mode or non raid . or disable achi ..or sata as ide or native .. depending on the BIOS edition it may refer to the same thing in different ways .. The idea is to disable any function for the hard disk that might require a driver to be installed in order to work ..
after that will boot just right if you have an os on it .. or will be needed another installing from a live disk ..(boot-able disk )
Also check the hard disk options ..and see that some have a second setting for a usb ..and remove it and leave the hdd 0 as primary ) ..This is not the boot priority .. but the actual device ..
]Anyway if you set what I said .. and make a factory default before.. (set it to the factory settings first and after that remove the achi or raid settings ..and save with F10 ) ..and will work .
try it and let me know how it worked out..

Every time i turn on my toshiba laptob it says error F3-F200-0002 and then i tried holding the "0" key and now its saying error F3-FF00-0006

Try to press the F 2 key on start up ..and see if it gets to Bios settings ..if it does..first time try to restore defaults..(load factory optimal with F10 and enter to confirm and restart ) ..
If this will not do the job ..go back to BIOS , and in there look under advanced..and locate the hard disk ..On your hdd 0 you will find a feature called ACHI ..This is a bout the raid driver..on sata ..and if you do not have a raid driver have to disable the ACHI ..and let the hard disk controller on Sata as IDE or Sata ide compatible changes with F10 and restart ..and will work ..
If you have windows 7 or vista on it ..and you have a recovery partition ..Boot from it ..and this will fix the issue ..but if you have windows xp have to make the changes..ort reinstall the xp ..and when it asks to press F6 to load 3rd party it ..and insert the raid driver for it ..(try to see if it will accept a USB case you do not have a floppy ..)
The easiest way is to disable the achi like I said ..or if you have windows 7 to reinstall teh operation system ..

Inspiron 531 wont boot up. just get dell screen then says Sata 0 Sata 1 Tsst corp DVD sata 2 None sata 3 None

If yo are sure that you have a working operating system on your hard disk , and this error started after you (probably) defaulted the Bios settings or something else did ....Than I think the lack of sata raid driver makes the reading of your hard disk impossible ..To fix this ..either try to reinstall the operation system and during it ..choose to add a 3rd party driver (look for raid driver on your motherboard cd ..or on the manufacturer's support site ) ..or ..just get into Bios again ..look for the HDD in the advanced options ..and select the hdd 0 ..and eliminate the achi feature ..and replace it with sata as ide ..or compatible ..and save settings with F10 and restart ..It will make the hdd visible ..and support installation if it has non ...or just boot up ..but will work as IDE and not raid ..

I tried to install windows xp on sata hard disk but it couldn't find any hard disk in bios i can see the hard drisk that it shows RAID hard disk msi model is ms-7113 ver 1.what...

get to BIOs ..locate the hard disk ..and change the setting from the ACHI sata like ide..or compatible ..Or ..use use a usb ..or a floppy enter a raid driver for it ..when you install it ..If you pay attention ..when you run the installation of the xp ..Just after starting to load files ..(soon after press any key to boot from cd ) says to press f 6 for to load 3rd party driver it ..and use some kinda memory device ..that will be see..and load teh driver ..and will work )
Or ..just disable the sata raid ..for the hard disk ..and it will be seen after that when you load the operation system ..If it is a newish model will not be affected ..only old models feel the difference in speed between the modes..
