Try using the cursor (arrow keys). If they work, try cleaning the mouse ball, unscrews from the underneath, or change the mouse if optical.

Stop my cursor jumping about

That must be a wire mouse the cable might be getting a bit frayed inside the sheath if it's a ball mouse, try taking the ball out and cleaning the ball and all the rollers. And if it is an optical mouse on bad surface. Put a piece of white paper on your desk and try it on top of that.

Slow pc cursor gets out of control

Hmmm... There are 2 things when the cursor goes wild, either ur mouse have a problem(dirty roller balls, open ur roller ball and clean the dirt in the wheel. And for the optic type the lens have to be clean and use a BLACK mouse pad). The other one would be ur processor is getting HOT, heat sink needs to be clean and remove DUST particles in the heat sink!
Hope that helps u out!

Mouse will not mover cursor but will right and

Does your mouse use a ball for movement?
Look at bottom of mouse. If so you could have a ditty unit. You can turn the ball cover counter clockwise and remove the ball. Clean the ball and the rollers inside the mouse. Replace the mouse ball and cover and retry the mouse.

My mouse pad will not move my cursor on my computer

If your mouse is the older ball type hold the mouse level about 12 inches off the pad and move the ball on the underside of the mouse with your finger. If the cursor moves you may need to simply clean any dust from inside the device and clean the ball. Open the open to release the ball. Theres a round plate on the underside around the ball. Turn it to the open position a remove the ball. Clean any dust from inside with canned air or a soft brush. Clean the ball with a small amount of alcohol and let dry completely. Replace ball and plate and you should be ready to go.
If you have an infrared mouse, your mousepad may be too glossy. Dry a pad with a dull finish.

Cursor jumps all over with a touch of the mouse why

trackballs and other ball mouses have an optical sensor inside the cup that holds the ball. dirt, lint and debris that falls into the optical sensor can make the cursor jump around - the sensor detects the debris as if it were a ball movement. Clean the inside of the cup and the jumping should stop.

Cleaning the cup -- first clean the three points that hold the ball up. They tend to grap whatever dirt or grease gets onto the ball from the user's hand. Clean the rectangular sensor window with a que-tip or by blowing into it. Get any stuck debris out of the corners. Finally, turn the mouse over, without the bal inside, and tap it on a hard surface. This can knock loose any remaining debris that can fall into the sensor window.

Spin ball. Cursor barely moves on screen.

Have ya tried removing the ball and cleaning the infrared screen under the ball with a cue tip? Also get all the finger grease and gunk out of that area too. You can remove the ball with a pencil or pen, use the dull end of the pen or the eraser end of the pencil, so you don't divot/dent the ball.
