It all depend on the setting of the controller and obviously how long u been playing on it. The batteries will drain a bit faster than norm if u have the vibration setting on, fyi. As with everything over time things wear down and out, prolly could jus get a new rechargable battery, so keep those things in mind.

My xbox controller is fully charged and it wont connect to the xbox. If switched the batteries and everything. The lights just keep blinking, slow then fast.

Next to the button that you use to remove the batteries there is a button that you must hold to sync it to the xbox. You have to also hold the sync button on the xbox which is near the usb ports in the front or if you have a older xbox near the memory slot b slot.

My Xbox 360 controller appears to be having some issues: i turned the xbox on, and it is immediay prompting me to download an update from Xbox Live, however, I cannot get my controller connected to get rid...

There is a connect button on the controller as well. See this site or follow the instructions below. http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages/xbox-360/get-started/console/connecting-game-controllers.aspx

  1. Turn on your console.
  2. Press and hold the Guide button on the controller until the controller turns on.
  3. Press and release the connect button on the console.
  4. Within 20 seconds, press and release the connect button on the controller.
  5. When the lights surrounding the power button on the console stop flashing, the controller is connected.

Slow Turn

If this is only happening in Halo 3, go to the start-menu and look for profile settings, or check the in-game pause menu ( while playing ) and search for your controller settings. You should see a section that says "Vertical/Horizontal Sensitivity" or something close to that. Change it to a higher setting and you should be able to move your aim/sight faster.

Note: This will not increase how fast you walk/run.

If this does not work, you can attempt to open your controller ( remove batteries first ) and check the joystick for any junk that might be preventing full movement. ( this will void your controller's warranty if it has one )

Xbox 360 controller turns off at random, yet has new batteries

The battery indicator found when pressing your xbox logo button is temperamental. It might say 2 bars, or 3 or even full battery but this is not a good indicator of a full battery.

The problem IS low batteries(or more specifically - bad batteries) - when the batteries become low the vibration function can cause the controller to disconnect. This is happens because the vibration function uses extra battery power.

So basically... Every time your controller vibrates, it disconnects. This occurs when firing a weapon in most games, grenades in COD, landing heavy tricks in Skate 2, the list goes on, you'll find many complaints from people stating their controller disconnects specifically with these events.

The simple solution, turn off the vibration function when this occurs. It'll never happen to you again ^_^

Thumbs this up when it proves correct for you. I'd recommend a recharge while you play pack. ALWAYS by the official products too. They're much more reliable and aren't prone to this kind of behaviour.

Controllers will not connects at all.

I have the issue mostly when the batteries are about to die, Try changing the batteries, or if you are using a play and charge kit (sold seprately) connect it to your xbox 360 and one of the front usb ports. Or replace the rechargeable battery.
