Question about Toshiba 19LV505 DVD Player

Toshiba 19lv505 pc monitor display issue

I connected the 19lv505 to my 4-year old HP Pavilion desktop w/Win-XP and set the display to 1024 x 786 @ 60hz. I get these lines that shoot thru the display. Could it be a refresh problem?
My desktop says the device is a "monitor" but not a Plug-N-Play device as was my old 19" CRT.
Not enough info in the user guide on how to setup as a pc monitor.
Could my video card or video drivers be to old to support this type of LCD monitor?

Since Toshiba 19LV505 is a 720i monitor. Mak sure the resoltion in your PC is as one of the following:

Monitor Display modes
MODE Resolution Refresh rate
VGA 640x480 60Hz
VGA 720x400 70Hz
SVGA 800x600 60Hz
XGA 1024x768 60Hz
WXGA 1280x768 60Hz
WXGA 1280x720 60Hz

Make sure the 2nd one is no bigger than 720, (remember, it is 720i TV) Otherwise 19LV505 will not be able to handle it, all you see is black.

Try it and see if it works.

My Masterlink is 7 years old. Do I need to replace my hard drive? How many hard drives, make and models? Thank you. Bill Dorsher

Any 3.5" IDE hard drive will do, it doesn't need to be a large one, as the Alesis will only 'see' the space it needs to - google 'standard ML9600 hard drive size' to see, I can't recall offhand.

You don't HAVE to upgrade the OS if the machine is working fine. You WILL have to install it on a new HDD if you install one.

For what it's worth, I could only get the OS to install from a disc I made on a Windows XP PC. Three or four attempts from a Vista machine all failed. Win 7 and 8 are unknown territory for me.

Make certain you have an OS disc BEFORE you replace the HDD.

Connecting a toshiba sd-v392 to an old analog tv

Make sure your menu settings are correct audio outputs may have a setting for digital or analog sound output check that these are set up to analog or stereo output .Also try hooking the sound up direct to a stereo system or amp to be sure you have output! Also you may not be able to get your sound thru the convertor box!! Because the convertor is a reciever of digital signals not a line amp. for audio !! Hope this helps11 AAAAAAAAAAAAAE!!!! Downloading video from Sony DCR-HC45 Camcorder using a 1394 Firewire. My PC is not recognising the connection. It did work at one stage without any problem but not any longer. What must I do

You have to go on Device Manager and delete the imaging device. Then uninstall old drivers and software used with the camcorder. With 32 bit OS (Win XP and Win 7 32 bit) install Nero 8 Essentails or any other video capture software. Do not plug in external device during install. After installation is complete, reboot your PC. Now you can connect your camcorder with firewire port and then open the nero software. Under video capture, it will detect your sony camcorder.

Connecting a wii to a RCA Scenium

Sorry but I have to ask, are you sure the cables were plugged in correctly on the bigger set? Try using your tv's input button to scroll through the different inputs until you come to the one where the Wii is plugged in. You can check which one by looking where you plug the cables in. i.e. line 1, line 2, component 1, etc. Hope this helps.

Win xp home, user accounts won't connect to net

Hey there tabath, I have recently encountered this problem. It turned out that we were connected via a switch rather than a router. It seems the switch will allow you to network with each other, but only allow the admin connection to access the internet. Please check your exact model as 3com manufactures both products. Hope this helps.Good Luck!
