Question about Printers & Copiers

My v505 printer will not do as asked by my dell laptop as long as the v305 printer is still in my computer and will not uninstall. Pleaseeee help me so I can get the use that I am supposed to get.

I called Dell technical support and got my problem solved. I am a WWII handicapped veteran and could not find where I was supposed to connect to your tech team.

How do I get missing installation disc for dell V305 printer to scanning material


go to dell website and manually download the driver.

If that doesnt work unplug your printer uninstall everything, restart the computer, reconnect the printer, manually install the drivers and restart once more.

My Dell V505 printer won't print documents from the computer, when I press print the printer prints a page of dash's and ticks. there is ink in the cartridges. i've disconnected the power....


Turn the printer off.
Disconnect the AC power.

On your computer, click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Printers
Select the Dell Printer
Uninstall it
Restart your computer
Turn the printer on
Allow the computer to reinstall the device-device for the printer.
Print a test page.

How do I print out my fax history from my Dell V505 Printer


The Dell Fax Solutions Software allows you to:
  • View fax history.
    Click View full activity log to see or print a detailed list of all fax activity.

  • Create a fax report.
    Click Print activity report to see a detailed report of all fax activity. Click the Print icon to print your activity report.

  • To access the Dell Fax Solutions Software:
    1. In Windows Vista:

      1. Click Start® Programs.

      2. Click Dell Printers.

      3. Click Dell V505.

      In Windows XP and 2000:
      Click Start® Programs or All Programs® Dell Printers® Dell V505.
    2. Click Dell Fax Solutions.
      The Dell Fax Solutions Software dialog box opens.

    I somehow uninstalled the Dell Imaging Toolbox for my V305 printer. How do I get it back?


    Hi,

    I cannot find a separate software download for the Imaging Toolbox. I can only assume it comes with the driver itself when installed.

    If you have the disk for the printer, uninstall the printer software you have already installed using the Add/Remove Programs from the Control Panel. Restart your computer and look under the Start>Printers and Faxes and make sure it is not listed.

    disconnect the USB cable from either the computer or printer and insert your disk and install as you did originally. Connect the USB cable when prompted.This should reinstall the driver and Imaging Toolbox.

    If you do not have the disk, you can download the software from the Dell website at:

    Dell V305/305w Driver

    Download the software to your desktop. Uninstall the previous software...reboot...then double-click the file on your desktop.

    I got a used v505 printer i hooked it up and it will not communicate with the computer what am i doing wrong


    Go online, google or Dell website, type in your Dell V505 drivers, download those driver and carefully install them to your computer while your printer is attached to the computer and ON. verify if they installed succesfully, test print from your computer to see if it works.

    Im trying to connect a dell v305 printer to a new mac

    My Dell V305 only prints occassionally. An error


    I used to have a Dell all-in-one and had same problem.
    I asked Dell for new installation disc and re-installed it and that seemed to to solve the problem.

    Won't print Dell V305


    It seems to be an issue with the Print Spooler Service. Either the service is stopped or not started correctly. Try stopping and restarting the printer spooler services on your computer. For tips on how to restart the Print Spooler service, use the link: http://www.ehow.com/how_2319117_restart-print-spooler-xp.html. Now Reboot your system and try deleting the print queue. It should work fine now.

    wolfhaus: Did you try creating another user account 'Administrator' or 'Standard' and see if it will print from that ?. Let me know if this helps or not.
