Most lifting magnets only effect things that are directly under the magnet, and the magnet will be mostly concerned with the metal in the load. However, you should always post signs around to warn people who have pacemakers because it can cause problems if they get very close to the magnet

Im doing an experiment on magnetism.i need to find out how the distance of a magnet affects the size of its magnetic field

How about hanging the magnet from a scale. I am thinking of the one in my tackle box that weighs fish. Another way would be to place the iron on a scale and lower the magnet and see how much lighter the scale reads at various distances.

Can you lift people with a lifting magnet?

You can if they are holding on to a magnetic metal piece although your lifting magnet's user manual will tell you to never use an electromagnet to lift people.

How to remove nirvana motor from compressor

The motor is a permanent magnet motor so will not come of easy, you need to get some long studs (m24) and make some plates to fix to the end of the motor with a tube attached so you can draw off using m24 bolts, it will be tight all the way. It also needs to be drawn back on and air gaps will need setting up. It should really be done by an experienced technician as you can do more damage if you get it wrong. Don't let anyone near it if they have a pacemaker or heart problems the magnetic field affects pacemakers and can be deadly.

My pacemaker starts throbbing in my abdomin at 17.15 hrs every day which lasts for 3 minutes. is this normal

Boy is this posted in the wrong place. "If the pacemaker has one lead, it is known as a single chamber pacemaker. The lead can be placed in either the right atrium or the right ventricle. This type of device can be used only if the signal from the SA node or the AV node is the problem, and all other electrical conduction in the patient's heart is working correctly. Patients with this type of pacemaker can sometimes feel an uncomfortable neck throbbing, chest fullness or faintness when the device fires, known as pacemaker syndrome. Because of this problem, and the general ability to pump a greater volume of blood, some patients are treated with a dual chamber system."--BNET

What can I use a magnetron to do?

Keep it away from credit cards and pacemakers!

The magnets are really strong and they're handy to magnetize your screwdrivers, etc.
