Question about Canon PowerShot G9 Digital Camera
I cannot figure out out to import a 4 minute long AVI time lapse video into iMovie (2010) for editing purposes.
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

SOURCE: Videos are in AVI
There's a software called eright super, its free and awesome! I use the smae for my camcorder, iphone and lots of other stuff. Its a free video converter that can be downloaded from their site. The site has lots of Ads so it might be pretty confusing. Hence I have included a few screenshots in my post
Hope that helps!

SOURCE: .thm video files
Here is some info from fileinfo.com :
Video thumbnails are often created on digital video cameras and digital cameras that record video; THM files may or may not be transferred to the computer depending on what software is used to import the video; each THM file shares the same filename as the video clip it represents, i.e. "clip001.avi" and clip001.thm."

iphoto is just for still photos. Use a card reader to download your videos to a folder you create on your desktop. Double click on the video and Quicktime will play it. You can use imovie to edit it.
