That is NOT a cholesterol level. You need to reask your Doctor what your total cholesterol is, and what is Your LDL level, and your HDL level.

What should my cholesterol level be ?I am 72 and active playing tennis twice weekly

It depends on a few things
1. is this total cholesterol or a fraction (HDL, LDL)
2. what units you are giving numbers in. If it is in mg% that is an amazing number for total cholesterol. If it is in "equivalents", the level may be high.

HDL & LCL & Triglycerides

fats in the blood or arteries still bad to have high numbers
if you want to live a bit longer
medications and diet control required to manage this condition

our total cholesterol score is calculated using the following equation: HDL + LDL + 20 percent of your triglyceride level. HDL (good) cholesterol. With HDL cholesterol, higher levels are better. Low HDL cholesterol puts you at higher risk for heart disease.

I heard that chocolate can lower your cholesterol. Is that true?

Chocolate usually gets a bad press as being a food that is very bad for you, but there are some scientific benefits to eating chocolate (although only certain types). Just like red wine, chocolate contains Flavonoids which have been found to help lower LDL cholesterol levels (the 'bad' cholesterol) and also to protect to some extent against heart disease.
