Question about Zanussi Washing Machines
WDT 1072 washer dryer. It appears to be the spin that is at fault. I have removed the top and felt that the drive belt is not slack.
Check the drive for friction, it must move freely with your hand movement. If not it is possible that the bearing or accumulation of dirt has caused this to happen which can result in LOW RPM and thus the speed is less for drying .

SOURCE: broken washer/dryer
This sounds like a motor control board is faulty. Please load a couple of towels in the machine run it. Watch the machine as it goes through its' cycles.
1. Do the towels tumble when the machine is washing ?
2. When it begins to spin, does it spin one way at a fast pace or does it spin one way and then the other ?
Answering these two questions will help in troubleshooting your problem.
