I had the same problem and it turned out that the directions are very unclear. You need to not only press the ID/SET button on the wireless system, but also on the wireless subwoofer itself. That solved my problem.

SOURCE: DVD PLAYER MODEL, SD-K740SU
For a Toshiba SDK740SU, to remove a stuck disc:
1. Remove the top and front cabinet cover;
2. once exposed, slide/move the Rack Loading (white) towards the right with a sturdy instrument such as a common screwdriver;
3. draw the tray out
Please refer to image below:
The only possible easy user workable reset is to unplug the unit for quite some time.
Should the above be not corrective, pls post back whether you have the 740SU or the 740SUA version.
Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back as requested, how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kindest regards.

Unplug all of the speakers and power on.Its possible that one of the speakers is causing the protection circuit to activate.If powered on and subwoofer works start reconnecting one speaker at a time( after powered off) and retest each time.One Speaker may be bad.Its also possible the output ic is failing under a speaker load.There are no fuses related to this issue.If its not a speaker problem then the subwoofer will need to be serviced.

I have two slave screens for sale. If you need one let me know. They are both slaves but if you have a cracked screen on the main unit, you can very easily pull out the screen on a slave and install the LCD screen into the main unit as they are both the same. Most all models are completely interchangeable. No wires to solder, just three plug-in wires. Both slave units work great, garanteed. $40 + shipping (ea). Paypal accepted. timtrentb (at) hotmail. com.
