Ribbon for technics head rs-az6

Try MCM electronics- you might be able to get a piece like what you need from off a burned out or bad laser pickup- they most of the time have these. The original part is going to be a problem probably comes with the head or the transport. Cust the size you need with sizors and then scrap the covering off with a razor blade. It is touchy work but can be done.

The printer breaks the silver hologram ribbon everytime i print.it only break the silver ribbon when i do holograms

If your ribbon is breaking while printing a card, there area few things to look at.

  • Check that the printer driver has the appropriate ribbon selected. If a different ribbon is selected on the driver other than what you are using in the printer. Go into the driver and change the setting to the correct ribbon.
  • Another reason your ribbon may be breaking is because the "X" offset is set too low or too high, in other words the printing is beginning too close to the left side of the card, or ending too much to the right side so when the print head goes down to print on the card, the ribbon gets sliced because the print head and the edge of the card knife the ribbon. In order to eliminate this problem, increase or decrease the "X" offset value. I recommend a minimum of three digits up/down depending on the circumstance. For example: X-offset = 06...increase X-offset to 09. If the "X" offset is to high...EX: X-offset = 20...decrease X-offset to 17. Do not increase or decrease the value by more than 5.
  • If ribbon appears melted onto card, the print head may be damaged. Do not try adjusting. Immediately contact your re-seller or Zebra technical support.
  • If ribbon is breaking and nothing is being printed onthe card, contact your re-seller or Zebra technical support.

Printer ribbon will not retract.

To Whom It May Concern:

Unfortunately, it seems that the motor that winds the ribbon back into the printer head has malfunctioned. It would have to be replaced. Please contact us @ 877-686-8868 x208 and we'll be happy to accommodate your concerns and problems regarding the printer. Thank you for purchasing EZ Dupe products.

Data card sp35 plus ribbon break

There could be either of the following issues:

1. Check the print head temperature to make sure that it is hot enough to transfer the ribbon to the card.

2. The surface of the PVC card may not be image compatible. Try another brand of card or opt to 60/40 composite cards for testing.

Technics ribbon cable extension

You will never find those connectors, as they come with the ribbon cable, which is long discontinued. Rather than that approach, take the easy route. Just cut the ribbon in any place that you need the extension, add in your new ribbon cable, and heat shrink each and ever wire.

Need help with Kroy K4350 Printer.

This sounds like a hot pixel failure on the print head. The hot pixels are not repairable. The entire head will have to be replaced, most likely, at a cost of about $300. Hanover Technical Sales, Inc. (that's us) does Technical Support for Kroy printers, so we know what we're talking about.

Could it be something else? Sure, but without a pic of the issue, we'd not be able to guess what else it might be.

Make sure that heat shrink tube is clean and free of static electricity. When possible, use Kroy brand tube in the K4350. And we have a new hybrid ribbon that minimizes static at the head ... and consequently minimizes hot pixel issues.

It sounds like the the print head itself maybe dirty. Try taking out the ribbon and cleaning the print head.
