Question about GPS
I had an aftermarket remote stater put in my 2003 chevy astro van in 2003. It worked fine for a year or so then started giving me problems big time! It hasn't worked right for several years now. It turns the engine over and engine runs for a few seconds and then shuts off right away. Is it a security issue or what?? Had it fixed twice but guy is out of business now and no others are interested in fixing old remote starter so I have a friend who's willing to give it a try. Any suggestions? Thanks!
You have "lived" with for 14 years now so why are u trying to fix it now?????????
anyway find where remote starter's relays are under dash test the relays... one of them is broken or not wired right.

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I've fixed that error by swapping out the PCB board (or the keypad board). Which you can't very easily do that.. unless of course you have a boneyard of these lying around. Additionally, it could be the Hard Drive, this error hasn't been narrowed down to any one specific cause to my knowledge. I'll take it off your hands if your going to buy another one though. Respectfully, -Dan

SOURCE: GPS not working
You can try the reset button, but it sounds like you may have a dead battery. When you plug the unit into the car, what happens? What if you plug it into the computer? The reset is under the faceplate. Put your finger under the indentation on the top of the faceplate, and pry it off. The reset button is on the right side of the unit. Let me know what happens.

I solved the problem by charging internal battery using the 120V. charger that came with the unit. I was not aware, that the cord in car was not charging my Nuvi and that it was running OK. until the battery was low and quit. I have to check this cord. Peter W.
