Question about Westinghouse Dishwashers
We have just bought a new house which has a Westinghouse sb925 dishwasher. It has no manual and we are struggling to get it to work and only seem able to get flashing lights on the screen. Any ideas where we might be able to get a manual?

Having read another users fault (LUNNY) that has same fault. They got engr out and it was a blocked pump. Where is the pupmp located on this model as I have the same fault and want to resolve it asap.

this is a blinking "clean light", this is a common problem with some
of the Kenmore
and Whirlpool models. I believe the problem is attributed to water supply
temperatures being too low when filling. Apparently, there are some sensitivity
issues with the temperature sensing circuits in some dishwashers. There is a
reset sequence that you can try to clear the fault. Push the NORMAL WASH then HEATED DRY
buttons in that sequence two to three times. The unit will enter diagnostics
mode, but can be stopped by pressing the CANCEL button. This will clear any
existing faults and should return the dishwasher to normal operation.
To keep the fault from returning, it is recommended that you run your hot water faucet in the kitchen until it runs hot. This will heat the water in the supply line for the dishwasher (most dishwashers are fed from the kitchen sink supply line). The theory is that if you fill the dishwasher with hot water from the start of the wash cycle instead of the cool water that is normally in the lines (especially if you have a hot water tank located far away from the kitchen), this should satisfy the requirements of the temperature sensing circuits. If the fault reappears, there should be a tech sheet located inside the lower panel under the door that explains what the fault is. The flashing light will be a series of flashes, followed by a pause. If you indeed have a component problem, it will depend on what the flashing light sequence is in determining WHAT component is bad. Let me know if this helps you. Post back with your comments or questions.

The steam has gotten into the keypad display and fried it. Call Fridgidaire and let them know you've seen numerous people on the internet with the same problem and that you need part# 154554401 It worked for me.

Possible solution. I had the same problem of "washing" light flashing last year and now today. Warranty has been expired for awhile, so no harm in trying. What worked for my situation was removing the six screws for the back of the plastic control cover. Take of the plastic cover. There are are two connectors to the HANDLE with white and black wires. To be safe I would shut off the ciruit to the dishwasher. Safety first. Carefully disconnect and inspect the contacts inside the connectors. Do not insert any metal objects if you left the power on. I believe that the moisture from the dishwasher can degrade the connectivity. I cleaned the contacts with q-tips and re-installed. Be careful to not bend the contacts. If you had sound, you could hear my dishwasher running. Total cost is about three cents. I believe that the connectors do not full close when corroded, which prevents the completion of the circuit to the controlls. The flashing light indicates that the door is open, when in fact it is closed. Hopefully this will help someone. Semper Fi
