Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
I have magicJack for phone service and it says I am supposed to turn off my error correction mode on my HP J6450. I have no clue where my stupid manual is and don't know how to turn error correction mode off or even where I would find it on my printer.
Turning off ECM / lowering baud rate, neither will matter. Fax machines are ANALOG devices. MagicJack, Vonage, DSL are DIGITAL phone lines.
Your fax machine will not wot work reliably.

Click through the Menu until you reach TX SETTINGS. Then use the +/- buttons to reach TX ECM and TX Speed and change to NO/2400 BAUD. But I agree with the other user--I have only had it work once or twice.
leroyal is correct!

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
