SOURCE: problems with embrodiery unit

I had this problem with my machine. I did not give up. I got my disk out and tried everything again in sequence. I had not turned the sewing part on the arm to embroidery. It is located where the arm slides on. The key is not to give up too quick. If you have the disk watch the video. Always make sure you use the mesh over your thread or the machine will beep with a red light.
I am an advanced sewer but this is one of the poorest machine I ever bought, with little or no help from the Singer Company.

SOURCE: thread keeps breaking on my singer XL 5000. Seems like after i cleaned lint out of bobbin area i started having the problem

The needle thread breaks
1. the needle thread is not threaded properly
2. The needle thread tension is to tight
3. The needle is bent or blunt
4. The needle is incorrectly inserted
5. The needle thread & the bobbin thread are not set under the presser foot when starting to sew
6. the threads were not drawn to the rear after sewing
7. The thread is either to heavy or to fine for the needle

Do you have a foot pedal for Singer 2210?

Your foot pedal works on several models of high-end machines, including a Bernina. Unfortunately, while you can easily purchase a replacement at several sites, it's pricey. However, I took a look on eBay, and there's one for sale there for $50, which is much better than $149, which is the list price. Here's the link

Where is the tension located

It's set on the panel for that model, as well as the XL-5000 and XL-6000. You can download the user's manual free from the Singer site; I recommend that you do that, or if you have one, take a look at it.

My singer xl-5000 has a misaligned hoop.

Have you found the reset to your machine yet? Mine's a Janome... but I think I hold the power and some other button together and it puts me in diagnostic mode. If you are computer savvy you should be able to navigate until you can find the reset. If this scares you... call a repair person

Describe your how to oil singer xl 6000 Problem

Singer doesn't recommend self-oiling on this machine, that is why there are no instructions in the manual. You should take your machine to a trusted repair facility for oiling.

Oiling and cleaning

You put a tiny drop of oil in the bobbin case. Take off your embroidery unit and face it where you can see under the arm. See the long rod..There is a felt pad on each end of the rod. Using a Q-tip oil the felt pad.
