The cost or replacement/repair exceeds the cost of a new unit. If its not under warranty 'drop it" and claim on insurance

SOURCE: Touch screen not responsive
The cable to the touch sensitive part of the screen may have come loose (easily happens if knocked).
Try taking the unit apart (with care and the right type of screwdriver) and reseating the connector cable.
Once you've done this you may need to recalibrate the screen. Holding the power switch down will get you to the reboot / recalibrate screen.
But of course this will probably invalidate your warranty so beware.
