Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-29LS35 29" TV
9 times out of 10, the symptom you are describing is the result of something not being set right. First, eliminate any cable box or dish reciever issues by running the cable directly to the TV or using a VCR to play a good pre-recorded tape. Then go through the audio menu and make sure the speakers have not been set to OFF and also make especially sure that the TV is not in the SAP mode. If you eliminate all of the above and still have no audio then have the set serviced by a qualified tech.
