Question about HP Pavilion a1620n (882780664494) PC Desktop
My Optiarc DVD RW AD-7350B
does not work anymore
how do i fix it?
This device came installed on my Compact Presario F756NR Notebook PC operating on Microsoft Vista.
The drive was working properly and suddenly stopped. There does not appear to have power to the unit since the tray will not eject or open upon touch or computer command.
I opened the draw manually and inserted a disk. The unit did not respond or spin.
The unit appears in the device manager as a functioning device.
Try uninstalling the device in the Device Manager, then restart the computer. See if Windows redetects the device and reinstall it. Next, try accessing the BIOS and see if the BIOS sees it, and be sure its enabled there. If both of these options fail, open the machine and make sure that the drive has a working power connector attached. If the connector is bad, switch the power lead over to a working connector.
