Question about Nintendo Wii Console
I got a new game for my wii then when i try to play it it says it can't read it and check the nintendo booklet to troubleshoot on the disc channel. but when i put in another game it works fine.
I managed to get my new games to work by turning the wii over and blowing through the vents underneath and 'HEY PRESTO!' the games worked. it was still a bit clunky so it looked as if it was a dirty lens after all. I have now purchased a wii lens cleaner from ebay (£9 inc p&p) it is a nintendo product so it should do the trick. hope this works for you i'm just glad I didn't have to pay for it to be fixed.

If Wii gives Disc Read Error, first step you need to check is to try another
disc or clean the exisitng disc. This will confirm that problem is with either
Wii or Disc. If the console itself is giving disc read error then it needs to be
repaired. You may check out DIY Wii Fix Guide, that
will show step by step information to fix the problem yourself. It also gives
information on fixing many Wii Related Problems, so its a kind of Wii Problems
Reference Fix Guide
