On most laptops its rare that you can upgrade CPUs, also I can't even find specs for this notebook, you may be able to upgrade memory, and with the specs from it it will tell you if you can upgrade CPU and how much memory it can handle.

What parts should I upgrade in this computer?

It's not worth i,t you could upgrade by buying a graphics card, but I would recommend watching for a pc that fits your needs to go on sale at newegg then compare prices to amazon and go with cheapest. Once you upgrade the Motherboard you will have to purchase Windows, RAM and a new CPU

This thing is old. Just buy a new computer for cheap. If you upgrade the motherboard and CPU you will have to upgrade the HDD, the memory any video card you have and possibly the CD/DVD player. New motherboard will require newer of all the components I listed. So essentially buy a new computer it will be cheaper.

Upgrade the cpu for a sony vaio vgc-ra834g pc

I have upgraded cpu in the past, its a solution that is limited as you prob cant upgrade it again, newer motherboards support newer cpu, Maybe look for a cpu mobo combo to buy them both, Depends how much you can afford.dont forget if its an older mobo, it prob takes the slower memory, todays is faster. will your old mobo support newer graphics cards if you play games ??

HP Pavilion A200n (DF209A#ABA) PC Desktop best upgrades

Your motherboard is limited by it's 400 fsb. The fastest CPU that will work in it is a 2.8Ghz 400fsb northwood chip. You can upgrade the memory to 1GB of pc2100 ddr ram. As for changing out the motherboard, don't do it. The front panel connections will likely never correct correctly with a new motherboard.

NO ! I would like to know if I can install a

You can put whatever size hard drive you want in your pc....typically they do not come with operating systems on them when you buy them...they are blank....you can run it as a secondary drive with the one you are already running and use it for storage....Otherwise you will have to have xp installed for you....(more money) . You can not put 600 GB of memory or ram on a pc.....most pc's take up to 4 GB of ram....If you literally mean memory than that will be whatever size hard drive you purchase...Ram is random access memory and helps determine the speed of your pc. And yes it is always worth it to upgrade a pc, depending on how old it is.

Is it easy to upgrade my own emachine so it will be faster and have a larger drive?

1st open the pc case and write the motherboard model.
then go to the motherboard company website, and check for the latest firware for your board, then check for spec for your board, memory, an so on... (Note the windows xp has limited hd size. and choose a 10000rpm hd disk and 16M buffer with a top graphic card for your board, and update the cpu), and your computer is tunned.

NEED A STEP BY STEP GUIDE ON UPGRADING

Upgrading the computer to the faster CPU, memory, hard disk, can be possible. First find out the motherboard supports higher CPU already , then find the right CPU for the upgrade,. Maximum memory that can be added in the comuter and type of memory supported by the motherboard. If you need more capacity for Hard disk get high capacity harddisk that the computer support. More important is make sure that the upgrade doesn't require to buy new operating system. Most upgrades are not cheper than purchasing new system considering all above needs. If you require to upgrade to more and latest system than it is better to buy a new system including operating system. The operating system may not support considerable difference in the computer system for upgrades.
