I need to now the error code/message?
i had a similar problem with my Matshita dvd drive by deleting a registry entry that had become corrupted i was able to write. before that all i could do was read discs.
try this link it could help you out.
i cannot remeber the precise location in the registry, but it has to do with the upper or lower filters.
