Plastic temperature control knob broke. I need a replacement.

Go to the "esalton" website directly and click on the "G5" grill and then go to "buy now" and after you go there it should have a "parts list" near the bottom left hand side and click on "GO" and it will have all the parts you should need for your grill that you can order directly from the company. Try the website I have below it should take you straight there. GOOD LUCK

I need to know the temperature for making waffles

I finally found the manual for this grill. It says that waffles should be cooked from 3-5 minutes on high uingd 2/3 cup of batter. There is an entry on this website where you can download and print the manual with suggested cooking times.

When knob is on ''Off'', should power light (red) go ''off'' too?

I have a G5 with removable plates, our red light stays on and this is correct

There is a small plate underneath the grill attached by three small screws. Remove that plate and you will see a small circuit board. You will probably notice that one of the resistors leaked (this looks like a AA battery that broke open). I have not been able to repair or replace this yet. If this is your issue than your probably out of luck.
Otherwise take a look around and see if any of the wires came apart. There are three pairs simply connected using a regular wire crimp. This can be repaired easily.
