You have it hooked up to Analog TV with your RCA jacks. I had the same problem.

Hi , it seems you are experimenting a light engine problem.Here's how your tv works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLLHnQ4y-wo Basically there's 3 LCD chips that create the colors and image by blending together.When these chips start to melt you will get those blue spots, pixelation ,black and white picture,even vertical lines.You will need to replace the light engine. Have a blessed one!

It sounds like your grandson found the "monochrome" setting in the menu on your remote. It may be in the "picture settings", "set-up" or "advanced" setting.

depending on how much you paid for the tv , the cost of the repair may be more than the tv is worth. but if this is a large tv , then the repair would be most likely worth it

I have a flat screen polaroid lcd hdtv model 3700, first the sound started to get really loud with a beeeeeeeeep when we turned on and after a while was gone, now it doesnt! we had to put mute and connect the tv to a sorround system to hear it without that crazy noise, and now the colors of the tv are gone too its just black and white when we try to see the dish satelite but if we put a movie on the dvd player colors are perfect we try to conect the ps3 player too but its black and white too. I'd still pick plasma , because it has true black where LCD does not.

What model is your projection TV? Need the model number

Make sure that the color control level is set to the default or 50% to start with. This should be in the Video menu.

The colour for the tuner and for the encoded base-band video uses a circuit area called the colour demodulator. It is possible that this cirucuit area has failed and needs servicing.
