I was told that i have skype installed already but i can not also sign in there so i did download skype again but it says there is problem in server and so it cant download skype again and again i do but...


Hi Lolita,

Please try to clear and remove the skype again that been installed to your computer go to START then CONTROL PANEL pick a category "ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAM". The currently installed program will appear to view and find the "SKYPe 5.5 & skype click to call" click the two to remove. And then try to install and download SKYPE again.

First Solution: Browser Clearing

Try Clearing your Browser maybe you have a problem on your current browser.

Tips: Always Upgrade your browser to the lastest version.
Avoid using old browser such as IE 6 got lots of problem.

Solution in Clearing History Browser,

Microsoft Internet Explorer users

Note: Users running Internet Explorer 7.0 and above will need to press the Alt key in order to access the file menu easily to get access to options such as File, Tools, etc.
Viewing History
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and above users can view their history files by clicking the "Tools" menu, "Internet Options", clicking the "Settings" button under the Browsing history, and then clicking the "View Files" button.
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x users can view their history files by clicking the "Tools" menu, "Internet Options", clicking the "Settings" button, and then clicking the "View Files" button.
Deleting History
  • Microsoft Windows users running Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x and 7.x can delete their history files by clicking the "Tools" menu, "Internet Options", and clicking the "Delete Files" or "Delete" button. Users also have the option of automatically deleting files each time the close the browser window by clicking the "Advanced" tab and checking "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed" under the "Security" section.
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x users on an Apple Macintosh can delete the history by clicking the "Hard Drive" icon, "System", "Preferences", "Explorer", and moving the history file into the trash.
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02 and lower users can delete their history by clicking the "View" menu, "Options", open the tab "Advanced", click the "Settings" tab, and click the "Empty Folder" button.

Mozilla Firefox users


Viewing History

Press Ctrl + H to open the left-side history bar.

Deleting History

Viewing History

Opera users


Viewing History

Click Help and then About. Within the About Opera window you'll see the full path to where the cached files are stored. Browse to that file path to view cached files.
Deleting History

Opera users can delete their history by clicking the "File" menu, "Preferences", "History", and click "Empty now" button. In addition, users can check "Empty on exit" if they wish for this task to occur each time they exit the browser.


Second:

It is an odd problem. Try this, make sure your logged in as admin,
1.)un-installing msn, delete all files from - Document and Settings- Administrator- Application Data- Microsoft- MSN Messnger.

2.)Empty all temp folders from, Document and Settings- Administrator- Local Settings- Temp. Also clear all other temp folders, cookies, history, etc....

3.)Reboot. Reinstall messenger and put in your account info. Hopefully this works. If it dont then goto Microsoft support site and post your problem there. They should be able to help you.

Try this, clear the cookies from the cache. To do this in windows go to "Tools" on right of screen on any open Internet Web page, from the drop down select "Internet Options" when that screen opens select "Browsing History", and then click on "Delete" Box, check the following from the list:
Temporary Internet Files
Cookies
History
If the first box in the list called "Preserve Favorites Website Data" is checked then uncheck that box.

Clear the programs you have tried to download from the Remove programs list. This should help.

I feel so stupid! How do I clear my "browser cache"?


Internet Explorer 8 and above
  1. From the Safety menu in the upper right, click Delete Browsing History... .

  2. Deselect Preserve Favorites website data, and select Temporary Internet files, Cookies, and History.

  3. Click Delete.
Internet Explorer 7
  1. From the Tools menu in the upper right, select Internet Options.

  2. Under "Browsing history", click Delete... .

  3. To delete your cache, click Delete files... . To delete your cookies, click Delete cookies... .
    To delete your history, click Delete history... .
  4. Click Close, and then click OK to exit.
Back to top
Firefox 3.5 and above for Windows
  1. From the Tools menu, select Clear Recent History... .

  2. From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired range; to clear your entire cache, select Everything.

  3. Click the down arrow next to "Details" to choose what history elements to clear (e.g., check Cookies to clear cookies). Click Clear Now.
Firefox 3 for Windows
  1. From the Tools menu, select Clear Recent History... , and then select the items you want to delete (e.g., Browsing & Download History, Cache, Cookies).

  2. Click Clear Recent History... .

I have a HP MediaSmart Webcam and want to chat with someone online...how do I do that?


If you want to "video chat" then you will need an application such as ooVoo or Skype. There are also additional chat apps that can be searched for on the net.

Microphone not working


Hello.
1. Audio settings all versions

Skype:
Skype-->Main window…..>Tools -> Options -->Sound Devices-->audio device/USB/etc Audio Device (do NOT use windows default device)
You can also tick the ring pc speaker check box as this is a good backup to alert you even
if the main speakers are off or turned down.

Windows:
Start-->Control panel-->Sound and Audio devices
On the audio tab set the default playback device to your main soundcard (AC97/Audio-chip/add-on-adapter), etc.
Your installed audio device must be present there.
If not, reinstall audio device

2)Check if your micro (pink) and speaker (lime) jacks are really correct and fully inserted!
They sometimes stuck.
For test only you can use earphone instead of microphone for Line In.
Standard micro in Line In will NOT work.
Go to:
Start
Programs
Accessories
Entertainment or go to
Volume Control; right click on loudspeaker icon in Task Tray
Options
Microphone
Scroll down
Check "Microphone"
If the bar "Microphone" is available, the microphone is detected by Windows now go on
(If not, Windows has a problem with your microphone)
Just to check if your microphone is broken or bad, you can use your headphones instead. They really work!
Which one L or R is microphone now, I think it's L
Check "Advanced properties"

Check Micro "Advanced"
Open
Check "20db boost" or "1.MIC boost" depending on language version
Volume level can be left in any position.
Mute microphone!!!

3. Check audio now on windows base.
Start
Programs
Accessories
Entertainment
Soundrecorder

4. Once done, test with Skype Test Call echo123.

I need to delete the history on Skype 2009,don't know how that. was trying to find a address or help from Skype.


Go to Options --> Privacy --> Privacy Settings --> Clear Skype Cookies..

Follow this and the problem will be solved,

Deleted addresses in 'recent addresses' keep popping up again. How can I stop this?


i don't understand your problem . recent address in internet explorer address bar or any other like "reconet document" in start > documents .
if your problem in i.e. address bar then plz tell me how did you remove this. did you remove from registry also.
if not plz remove the registry entery also .

Everytime I try to open mail from someone I keep getting an error window that says ERROR 23UVRI on my screen and I cant open anything

Here is the first steps to clear the eroor, if this doent work let me know!

Clear the Cache, Cookies and History, Then Reset All Settings in Internet Explorer® Whenever you visit certain Websites, they will store what is known as temporary Internet files and cookies on your computer to identify that Website. Sometimes these temporary Internet files and cookies can cause the issue you are experiencing. Similarly your History list can also be a concern. The more days you have specified for pages to be saved on your history list, the more disk space is used on your computer. You can free up disk space by clearing this list. You can do this manually or you can use the one-click fix.

To manually clear cache, cookies and history, then reset all settings for Internet Explorer® 7.0:

1. Close any Internet browser windows that may be open on your computer.
2. Click the Start button, select All Programs, then click Internet Explorer.
3. In the upper right, click the Tools menu, then click Internet Options.
4. On the General tab, under the Browsing history section, click the Delete button.
5. Under the Temporary Internet Files section, click the Delete files button to clear the cache.
6. Click the Yes button to confirm.
7. Under the Cookies section, click the Delete cookies button, to clear cookies.
8. Click the Yes button to confirm.
9. Under the History section, click the Delete history button to clear history.
10. Click the Yes button to confirm.
