No Sound at all!

I have accuired a Panisonic Toughbook CF-29 (29NTQGZBM). The System had to many viruses and trojans to fix. I wiped the system and installed Win XP pro with all SP's and updates. I have downloaded all the drivers and installed them. Everything seems to be working fine But I have NO sound at all, Not even a BEEP!

No Sound Device in my System

Hello, If there is no sound from your system, then i would like to know if there is sound before, if yes then first of all, i will like you to open your system and re-install the sound card firmly to its slot, then you can also re install the sound device driver to be sure Make sure that your speakers are well connected and powered on and That the volume from your system is increase to the fullest, you can do that under control panel, under sound, If you suspect that a virus has infected your operating system, then you need to scan your system thoroughly with a good anti virus and repair the infected files. Better still if the files are damage beyound repair then format. Please follow this steps in troubleshooting the problem Regards

Remove the card and boot system. Shut down the system and reinstall the card. Your operating system should see it. If it does not then post again and I will help more.

Sound Drivers

you have to download the sound drivers and install the software..can't give you the exact driver as haven't specified much about your PC.
still try to download one of the common driver like realtek- Ac97... from the following URL ..
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=23&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

or try to download other audio drivers and install it...your problem would be fixed.

hope to get rated as fixed...

TROJAN HORSE

Trojan horse virus' can be very tricky to get rid of sometimes. AVG is one of the best out there for this but sometimes it cannot do it all. It just depends on what kind of virus it is. First of all, run a complete scan with "Spybot Search & Destroy". It is a free spyware removal tool. Make sure the dat files are up to date on all of these cleaners. The run a scan usin "AdAware". It is a free adware removal tool. Then after both of them have run, run a complete virus scan again with AVG. Most virus' out there now are in the form of spyware and adware and are downloader trojans. They download files in the background without your knowledge and really lag your computer. You will also get lots of pop ups while surfing the internet. I hope this helps. Let me know how it turns out?
