32 inch insignia plasma tv

so i don't know why but our 32 inch insignia plasma tv has pink colors showing up over white and very light colors. my boyfriend thinks its because i left the tv on so the colors got burnt into it but we bought this tv on dec. 13th 2008 and it is only january 27 2009. even if i did leave it on it was around 8 hours but i didn't leave it on and it doesn't even make sense. we were watching the office and when it was a night scene it seemed like the tv was back to normal cuz there was no pink! we have the hd chord cuz we have a ps3 connected to it. the only thing i did was play puzzle fighter on it and at most it was only for 30 min. we have a 4 year warranty on it but the geek squad said that they can't come out to check on it until feb. 13th. i am just wondering if i need to change color setting or if can just press a button so it gets fixed instead of having to see pink on my tv!
