Have you tried to go into your settings to re-adjust your lighting? The way to do that is go to the top of your screen and with your finger pull downward and this will show you different settings and one of them is brightness. If you tap on that you are able to control how bright your screen is. As for the problem of having to tap hard to do anything; do you have a screen protector on your screen??? That is a thin covering that adheres to your kindle screen to protect the screen from scratches, etc. What I have found is when my kindle has that problem it is because my screen protector needs a desperate cleaning. It just happened to me recently, I took a cloth and a little bit of windex sprayed on the cloth and cleaned it. I don't recommend doing that on an unprotected screen. I did it because my screen is protected. Once I cleaned it up I no longer had the problem. If none of these work I would contact Amazon or where this was purchased from as it should be covered by a warranty
I hope this helps.
this will only help until the next time it is out of alignment but if you slap the side of your tv about where the line is it should straighten out but there is no telling how long it will stay straight......My sons tv was doing that and i had a tv when i was young that did it that is what my mom told me to do and what i told my son to do and it works.... the problem is an alignment or conection problem from dust most likely.
Set the brightness, contrast and colour control of that TV to minimum. Watch it in a dark room whether ther are thin white lines across the screen, at about an inch apart, from bottom to top of the screen. If there are lines, that TV needs screen control adjustments. That is, now the screen voltage given to the picture tube went high to some reasons. If you have confidence that you can adjust it, I will guide you.
Open the back cover of that TV. Locate the LOT [Line output Transformer], usually one red thick wire is connected to the top of the picture tube with the help of a rubber ****** and clip. In most TVs it can be located and can be seen as the back cover opened. There are two variable control, fitted, integrated to LOT. Normally the upper one is marked as focus, and the lower one is marked as screen. You shoud adjust this control to avoid these lines.
It is a live service, that is the TV must be switched on during this time, and take causion in every respect not hurt by yoursef and the TV. Keep the children away from you, and an other adult person beside you is better. A liitle turn counterclockwise will remove this problem.

I followed GuestUser/ Slinteriors advice and I fixed it. Open the front of the TV and there are 6 little nobs in the front. The botton 3 are what you need to adjust. from left to right the color controls are BLUE, RED GREEN. For the blue lines, slightly (I really mean very slightly) turn the botton left nob clockwise (right).
Hi Shailendrar , your problem sounds like vertical collapse , the whole picture has collapsed into a thin , very bright centre line ? maybe the result of dry solder joints , does banging on the side of the tv temporarily fix ? if so , the circuit board requires inspection for bad solder joints . Alternately the vertical chip/transistor may be blown , replace as required. Cheers T
a bright thin line in centre is called horizontal line.
first of all do not keep tv on unless it is rectified.
If you want to put on tv keep brightness minimum to protect your screen for any demage.
your problem is in vertical section.
1 check vertical supply.
2 check parts in vertical section or loose contact.
3 yoke connrctor loose
4 ic defective
It is not serious problem can be rectified easily
