While charging the battery, I accidentaly unplug the wire from the computer while "don not disconnect" was flashing on sony mp3 player screen.

I tried to reset it but so far, I am unable to start back the player.

I had the same problem. I tried resetting it and it never would do anything so I decided to plug the mp3 player into the computer and try to charge it and it still wouldnt do anything. So make a long story short, while still plugged in I took and pencil and tried to reset and it came on finally. It said low battery so i charged it and now it is working good so far.

Yeah, I was watching a video and turned it off in the middle of the video. Won't start up.

    Mine won't turn on either...

It'll flash the purple Sony Walkman screen and then go black if I hold down the on button, but that's it.

I had clicked play on a song and it just shut off.

It won't charge or do anything besides flash that screen.

The Battery is most likely dead, connect it to a PC via the included USB cord and let it charge for 4 hours, don't let the PC/Mac go into sleep, come out of sleep, shut down, or turn on while it's connected.

Littlelago might be right. I had 4 gig of music on mine. It wouldn't turn on or get a library ready. The last thing I did was return it for another. Never got the old one to turn on. The store I bought it from let me return it.

My sony walkman nwz-e436f is full of songs but is now telling that no songs are available for playback. Is there anything I can do, I have already tried to reset but nothing happened.

It appears that your walkman is still turning on. When you connect it to your computer, check windows media player and look if it recognizes your walkman. If it is not recognized. look it up from windows explorer as a removable device, and take it from there.
