SOURCE: i have an mci alien 50cc scooter the oil light
Three things will cause this:
1: The sensor is cactus
2: The sensor is blocked (with gunk) and can not function.
3: There is no oil pressure to make it function.
2 is easy, you just take it out and clean it, if the problem is rectified then all is well. If not, you replace it, if the problem is rectified then all is well. If not you take it to a reputable bike mechanic, or get a manual and get it fixed. But I did not think that small bikes used oil pumps, I was of the opinion they used the oil spash technique. Could be wrong??????
