This is odd that Manitowoc is listed on a page showing a Whirlpool refrigerator model and number. What is the model number listed on your Manitowoc? Not the base model number. The number listed inside the top section. Manitowoc has a really good service reputation. Their control boards have a series of self diagnostics. Get me your model and we will go from there. SOURCE: whirlpool ice maker ,no harvest?
Hi, The optics almost never go in those unit's, the problem is in the icemaker module itself. If you can jump it thru a fill and then no advancing thru to harvest afterward ( provided your freezer is below freezing ) it's the module. You can either replace just the head/module or the entire icemaker. For the difference of only about $50 I always replace the complete assembly. The most common one being about $150 complete, # 2198597 and this should be the one for your fridge since you mentioned the optic component's. Hope that help's. Thanks for choosing "fixya" for your fridge inquiry. Please take a moment and rate this solution if indeed it solves your problem. Thanks again and good luck. Macmarkus :)

I'm not sure what you mean by a series 100. Manitowoc series are by the model number first letter. B-series, Q-series, J-series, etc. A 100 lb Q-series would be the most recent. If memory serves they started with A, C, E, G, B, J, S, and are now on Q. You can get most of the service books on their website here.
Sorry I cant be of more help without a complete model number.

SOURCE: I have a KitchenAid Side
I see where ya said the water dispenser works good and thats cool! when you do get the i/m to run the ice harvest cycle are the cubes full size? if yes the water supply can be ruled out as a possibility. Besides the water not seeming as cold are other things in the fresh food compartment NOT as cold as they are not as cold as in the past,if yes try removing the grill below the doors and clean the dust from the coil there,if it isn't there its the rear of the ref. by the compressor. One of the first things to be affected when a ref is working hard to keep things cool due to a dusty coil is going to be the icemaker,it will freeze the ice but the internal thermostat inside of the i/m module isn't satisfied its cold enough to start the harvest. When jumping out the T&H what exactly your doing is jumping the t-stat regadrless of the temp. of it ,causing it to run a harvest cycle
I hope this answer helps you,

is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees
This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
The icemaker is 110v
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.
If its leaking or no water at icemaker or door either one, then the valve at the rear bottom of ref needs replacing
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also if it is getting drinking water to the door but not to the icemaker (or vice versa) Then you need to replace
the water valve at the bottom rear of the fridge. It is a double valve and one side is not working
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath
