  • Usually when my printer jams up easily it's because I don't have the [paper size bar/arm properly sized down and flush with my printer paper.
  • If it's not aligned and adjusted properly to the paper's size, usually the paper will eventually feed into the printer at an angle, and cause it to jam.
  • ***Make Sure it's (not too loose, and not snug or too tight either)
This may or may not be the problem, So reply back and tell me if this worked or not.
Also you can check the step-by-step troubleshooter on Kodak's Website Here.
Just pick your printer type, and model, and then the problem. (which would be [paper jam]

I hope This Helps.

Check this out, i think its paper jam:
remove the paper from the paper trays.Turn off your printer, wait 30 senconds then remove the AC power cord and the usb cable from the back of your computer/ laptop etc.if this model has telephone line for fax you can remove also this connection.
remove the rear access door at the back of the printer.check the inside of your printer for a paper jam, if necessary, slowly pull the papre from your printer,if paper is not visible, check your printer for foriegn objects, such as paper clips or staples etc...install the rear access door...lift the printer access door..remove any foriegn objects fro your printer, then close the printer access door..plug USB cable and the AC power cord into your printer...wait for 30 senconds, then turn ON your printer..fan the paper, then load it into the paper trays..check to print if it will jam again...

Paper jam means that the rotation of the roller is not smooth, either because you are not inserting the paper correctly or there is something stuck in the printer. What you have to do is open the back cover of the printer and check the roller and clean it

Do not touch the edge of the plate at the upper side of the transfer roller because it is sharp

    1. Turn off the printer.

    2. Push the front latch up and fully open the front cover.

    3. Grip the tabs at both ends of the transfer roller and gently lift it out of the printer.

    4. Do not touch inside the printer with your hands. Some parts may be hot. Allow time for the printer to cool before attempting to remove parts in this area.

    5. Gently wipe the automatic density control (ADC) sensor window with a clean dry cloth or cotton swab.

    6. Do not allow anything hard to come in contact with the automatic density control (ADC) sensor window. Do not use excessive force to clean the window.

    7. Replace the transfer roller. Grip the tabs as shown.

    8. Align the arrow marks on the transfer roller to the marks on the printer, and gently push the roller into the printer.

    9. To lock the transfer roller into the printer push down the tabs until you hear a click.

    10. Close the front cover & Turn on the printer.

    Thanks

    Rylee

Kadak Easy Share 5300 printer. Screen reads "Paper Jam Clear Jam

Try this one Take out the inks and printhead Leave the cartridge door open, then unplug the power cord from the back of the printer while the access door is open Close the cartridge door once the cord is unplugged Reconnect the powercord, turn on the printer, then your printer will look for your printhead "Printhead missing or not installed correctly..." Then put everything back. make sure it will snap in to place. Then print a calibration page, then scan it. This is just over writing the error message. Thanks Josh - Kodak Tech Support

Printer feeds in 2 or 3 sheets of paper at a time and then jams

Dears eveenz,
It seems that paper feed roller of your printer is broken. This part is integrated in drive assy. You need to replace drive assy of the printer in order to feed the paper properly. I plan to discuss this topic at Inkjet Printer Forum since I cannot post image more than 150 kb here. Explanation with image will make you know more easily. Please send me your mail to ijxpert@gmail.com so I can contact you as soon as I finish my post there.
Please rate me when you find this answer be useful for you

The paper light is flashing

My printer is constantly getting jammed, spitting out blank sheets of paper in between every printed sheet, clicking and snapping, etc.
There are a few places to check for a jam - pull the paper drawer out and check there, take the toner cartridge out and you'll often find a sheet there that you cannot see from any other angle, open the little compartment at the back and check there and the usual paper sticking out of the output just enough to pull it out the rest of the way.
Good luck!
I'll be looking for a new printer this week though. I can't take the constant paper jams and sifting out the blank sheets when I'm printing 500+ statements a month.
Definitely NOT an office friendly machine!
