I was given a 42 inch plasma tv model # DU-42PX12X and I am sure it is a common problem with this tv but I just wanted to make sure before I replaced the board (6871QCH038A) I have a picture on the right side of the screen but the blacks and the shadows seem choppy and blueish and I have no picture on the left side of the screen. I have random white, blue, red, green, etc lines that run from the top of the screen down to the bottom.

I didnt wanna spend the money on the board without being sure. Thanks

- Same thing with ours -- the left side of the screen has the colored lines while the right side is fine. Let me know if you receive any suggestions -- ours was a hand-me-down so I'm wondering whether it's worth fixing! Thanks!

Another "same probelm"

My set has encountered this magical 50/50 split screen and it seems to be quite a problem since I am not the only one researching this issue. LG was of no use because of course it is just out of warranty. Any solutions on fixing this or am I out of money in buying a new plasma?
