Make sure tht BOTH th red AND yellow wires are getting power. Yellow is 12V constant, red is 12V switched, oh and don't forget the black wire needs a ground! If STILL no pwer up, check fuses in line with the wires, if good, tis next step has saved me several times. Power up the red and yellow wires, then hook up the blue/white wire. YES I know that tha is a remoteout wire for amps, but I tell you I have freaked out several of my employees showing them my trick.
Oh yeah, and it THAT doesn't work, then you can either repair it, or use it at a sounnd off when they hve radio tosses LOL!

Take care,

Check your fuses. Common ones are red 10amp under the hood, red 10amp under the steering column, cylindrical on the constant power wire (usually yellow) from the back of the stereo. Also, a test light or multi meter would be optimal on checking which wire is or isn't recieving power. You ground your negative terminal on your multimeter an

Stereo remote wire won't power on amp sony mex

The easiest check is unhook the remote turn on wire from the amp and use a small jump wire to bridge the 12dvc input of the amp and the remote turn on connector of the amp. If the amp powers on there is an issue with the remote turn on connection either a bad wire or bad output. If the amp doesn't turn on there is an issue in the amp wiring or the amp itself.

I just hooked up an aftermarket clarion Cd DVD player in a 2005 Chrysler Sebring and now at this speakers won't work I bought the harness it is color for color everything is hooked up correctly just do...

It sounds like the vehicle has an amp that needs to be powered up. Was there an extra harness from the vehicle that you did not use? Also, check for power on the blue/white from the radio.

My Pioneer DEH-P4200UB Won't power up in my 97 mustang gt. The car recently had a kenwood deck that we took out. we are still using the kenwoods wires. Help us lol

Please verify voltage at the constant (Yellow) wire With the ignition OFF
Then Turn the Key to ACC and verify voltage on the RED wire.
Double check the ground to chassis metal.

The radio should power on at this point if both power wires show 10-14.4VDC
If not - your radio needs repair.
