Installed new battery charging system not charging had problem before installing battery

I will have to guess which system you have without the make and model and engine . I will assume you have a electric clutch on the blade engage which tells me you have a high output charging system. This system would have a Regulator / Rectifier on it. Most times it is bolted to the flywheel shroud .
installed-new-battery-charging-system-p2i0p3ef132mr30dht4rndtd-4-0.jpg The two outside terminals will have a white wire on each of them from under the flywheel, this will be A/C current , the center wire will be red and it will be D/C current. To recap the A/C current from the altenator goes into the two outside terminals and inside the Regulator / Rectifire it is changed to D/C current and regulated to not be more then 13.8 up to 15 volts and goes to the battery .
You will need a volt meter to test this to find out if it is your charging system or if your tractor has a problem with a fuse or ignition switch. Wiggle the plug on the regulator down just enough to get your voltmeter on the terminals,Start engine run at full throttle, set meter on A/C 20 touch one wire to the engine block and the other to the outside terminals one at a time, should read + or - 18 volts,if you have this that will tell you your alternator is good, next change the meter to D/C 20 and one wire to engine block and other to center terminal on the regulator it should read 13.8 or a little higher and can come down as the battery charges. If you only see 12 volt or less there is no output from the regulator to charge the battery and the voltage you are seeing is the voltage in the battery.

Heater won't relight after shutting down, but fan continues to run

Roger, you either have a gas supply issue or a voltage problem.
Since I don't know your aptitude and abilities pertaining to LP gas troubleshooting/testing procedures, I don't know how detailed you want to go...basically, make sure your propane tank isn't empty; or that the pressure regulator didn't freeze up. Make sure that it is rated and set for 28" of water column output.
Check to make sure all the wire connections are secure to the flame control terminal block and to each of the hi-limit switches.
Isolate & perform continuity checks to each electrical component, including the gas valve.
You'll need a manometer to test and set the gas input & output water column levels.

When the unit is running,, what color is the flame?
Is there a roaring sound?
Is the flame small and weak?

I have a fahrenheat wall mounted heater, 120 v model,(can't find a model number on the unit) with a dial temp control. No matter which number setting it is on, the unit cycles off after about 50 seconds....

UNIT SOUNDS LIKE ITS SHUTTING DOWN ON A LIMIT SWITCH IN HEATER. THEY LOOK LIKE ROUND BUTTONS OF DIFFERENT SIZES. THE HAVE 2 WIRES GOING TO THEM AND THEY ARE A NORMALLY CLOSED. THERE IS A FAN DISK NORMALLY OPEN TO UNTILL IT GETS HOT AND CLOSES TO TURN ON FAN.  IF THE FAN SWITCH TAKES TO LONG TO CLOSE THEN LIMIT OPENS TO PROTECT FROM OVER-HEATING

Fahrenheat fuh 54 b does not run long enough to get garage warm

have you checked what the operating amps are vs. the amps provided by the outlet. Sounds like you are trying to pull to much load and the machine probably has a saftey to where it shuts down bofore it buns itself up. Hope this helps. You have to be real careful about overloading circuts.

Fahrenheat 4000 watt wall mounted heater shuts off and needs reset

the reset is probably an inline circuit breaker. if you can get hold of am amprobe clamp around ammeter, check the current when the unit is running at full power. the reading you get check against the current rating of the inline breaker. your fan motor bearings may be dry increasing the current draw of the unit and tripping the breaker. try oiling the fan bearings with a light oil NOT WD-40.
