If the engine revs up and the truck barely moves either the clutch shoes are not engaging the clutch bell or the slipper clutch is loose and is slipping too much.

T maxx 3.3 will start rate up but will not run at all but if i pick it up all 4 tire's spinn like mad but when put down just sits there and runs and smokes but will not move HELP PLZ!!

Check to make sure you don't have a bad servo. When you pick it up the wheels will spin just do to the amount of power the little engine is putting out. Put when you pull the trigger do they go faster? If not then the check these

1. make sure your trims are set correctly on the remote
2. you are on the right frequency - usually there are 3 settings..frequency can be checked by making the tires move side to side also.
3. if you have the trim set right, and the right frequency then you may need to replace the servo

My traxxas motor looses power after running for awhile

this happens to mine sometimes too. i have found that if you richen the high speed needle about a 1/4 turn it works fine. it will also keep your engine temp. down.

Glow plugs filing out fast, why?

Depends on the mixture of gas and if it is too rich or too lean.

IF your engine temps are low, you know it is too rich, temps too high it is too lean. Depending on the engine, you will have to refer to the instructions to see which plugs are ideal and the normal operating temp range. This especially applies to those using aftermarket engines.

well one thing that i could say that has happened to me is that one time i didnt have the line that goes from the muffler to the gas tank hooked up. what it does is acts like a fuel pump. other than that you can take the high speed needle out a 1/4 turn

Engine will fire but wont get gas new gas lines if fires wont stay running when you pull trigger talked to hobby shop and they had me rest screws for gas and air flow now wont start

Check fuel line that goes from exhaust pipe to fuel tank. Make sure there are no leaks. With fuel in the tank remove the line from the exhaust pipe and blow in it. The fuel in the tank should move and bubble.

T Maxx 3.3 full throttle issues.

Sounds like either the slipper clutch is too loose or the clutch shoes are not engaging the clutch bell.

Sounds like needs resetting up.This would be the first thing to do. With the controls in neutral the carberetta should be open about 1mm. You can look down the opening without engine running to confirm this. Adjust throttle linkages so you have 1mm opening and then you can fine tune with trims.

I bought an older t maxx 2.5 was running great then i turned off and now the motor turns over a couple of times then stops completely. what could be the problem and how can i fix? thx 2cwik4u

Hi
The plug could be fouled. The gas could be contaminated, there could be an air leak in the tank or the lines, the carb filter could be dirty or the last time you ran it the engine sucked in a bunch of dirt. I would start by cleaning the the car completely. Hobbytown USA makes a cleaner which cleans off all the gunk and is water soluble so after you spray it down to loosen the dirt you can hit it with a high pressure hose. Now, replace the plug and carb filter. Drain the tank and tubing. Just the tank for air leaks. Just disconnect the engine gas inlet, tap off the pressure line and then blow into the tank. The pressure should stay constant. If not replace. Now refill the tank, change the plug and make sure there is no dirt stuck in the muffler. It should start easily at this point. If not, then there is probably an air leak in the carb or there excessive dirt in the engine. They would require a strip down next. Most hobby store will do all this for you. Hobbytown USA really seems to know what they're doing. Good luck

T-Maxx 3.3 wont drive

Sounds like an internal gear problem with the transmission. I would remove the transmission and open it up, anything that is broken will be easy to spot. All of the parts are available at a local hobby shop or from Traxxas directly.
