Hi

press the windows key and then press r to open the run menu
type in services.msc

Find the AVG anti_virus service from the list, right click properties, start up type disabled and stop the service. apply ok.

Now the service is stoped, try uninstalling again.

Unfortunately, at this time grisoft, the maker of AVG, does not have an uninstall utility for AVG. The recommended procedure is a time consuming one. You must download the latest version of AVG from the website, and then run it.

1) Click on the following link and download AVG to your desktop

http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0

2) Double-click on the downloaded file to run it
3) AVG will present you with three options to choose from. Choose the uninstall option to completely uninstall AVG

Add/Remove Components - choose if you want to add/remove some components or reinstall the entire AVG program
Repair installation - this option repairs or reinstalls missing or damaged components of AVG
uninstall - this option removes the AVG program from your PC

4) Once the uninstall has completed, restart your computer. You can then proceed to install another antivirus or install AVG again.

If it still has a problem stopping the service you can Click on the Start Menu then Run
    type services.msc
    then press enter
scroll through the list looking for
avg wdsvc and then right mouse click on it and select stop, this will stop the antivirus service and you will be able to finish the uninstall process

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Could be bad media.

Try another install cd. If the same problem occurs, then the hard drive probably has bad sectors.

Trying to install avg free, but get 1 error. Action failed for file avgmfx86 sys starting service Error number 0x80070002

You may be infected by the virus Autoit.exe. Have your computer scanned with another antivirus before installing AVG. AVG Free (updated that is) is effective if already installed before the virus attacked. You may download and try a trojan cleaner dedicated for this purpose here.

Computer problem

The only way to get a reliable anti-virus is to purchase. Use the control panel - add/remove and uninstall any avg programs. Then run msconfig - startup and disable any avg program. Reboot. See what happens. Purchase an anti-virus and load that.

I am trying ti install agv anti virus i have completley unistalled norton but i kepp getting this error message action failed for file agvmfx86 sys starting service error 0x80070002

Always shut down all running programs before trying to install anything like AVG. If you already have an AV program, uninstall it before trying to install AVG.

If still having problems after doing that..... RE-Download AVG 7.5 FREE and try the install again.
Good Luck,
