SOURCE: MAXIMUM WATTAGE FOR FAN LIGHTS??????

those bulbs are candelabra type. if they came with the fixture then I wouldn't go to a higher wattage bulb. the sockets are probably bakelite and mounted with the base up so any heat off the lamps would be directed upwards. higher wattage bulbs may shorten the lifespan of the sockets. bakelite is a modified plastic. it won't melt but it will get brittle.

SOURCE: light bulbs burn out

Use bulbs specifically designed for ceiling fans - they say "ceiling fan" on the package (Home Depot, Lowes both carry). The slightest regular vibration (like a fan rotating) causes normal incandescent elements to burn out within days or weeks.

If you wired black to black, white to white and green or bare to ground, you wired it right. Sometimes there are two blacks (hots) one for the light and one for the fan, but most of the time you hook the light wiring parallel to the fan wiring unless you install a remote switch.

SOURCE: How do i remove the light to change a light bulb?

i looked it up online and they called it a:
Single Bowl Twist and Lock Light Kit.
Some things i would suggest:

  1. push it up and turn (like when you open a medicine bottle.
  2. try to look for a spring action peg that clicks in automatically around the glass dome that might be locking it...

please comment my solution :) thanks

Try pulling down on it. There are some clips that will release it. It's not screwed on.

SOURCE: I need to find a light kit for a harbor breeze

You should be able to pick these up at Lowes if I'm not mistaken. I just bought a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan from there and saw the light kits around the same area. I also believe that, you dont necessarily have to get a Harbor Breeze light kit and that some are interchangeable.Hope this helps some.

The lights and fan don't work after replacing the bulb

We see (and repair) this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about a week or so.

At our Web site, you can get details of our service, plus we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

The lights can can be inoperable or stuck on or no bright, too. Sometimes this will similarly affect the exhaust fan operation or inside light, too.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number from the tag on the unit) for more information & help.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
