My son was playing his brand new game that we just opened modern warfare 2. while playing the game a message popped up disk is unreadable. we cleaned it with a cloth and now everytime we put the disk in...

Thoroughly check the disc for scratches (especially around the center of the disc, those usually are the most important). If you don't see this message in his other games, it may be the disc. Perhaps try returning the disc and buy a new copy. If he gets the same message, contact Microsoft for further support.

The game i have is scratched it only work for one nazi map and when i try to play career it ses disc unreadable what do i do

You will need to either repair the disc using a repair kit, find a game shop that repairs disc, or purchase a new copy of the game. You are getting a message saying that the disc is unreadable because the scratches prevent the laser from reading the data.

Disk unreadable but clean disk not scratached

Turned on your Xbox 360 console one day and and when you try to play your game you got the message "This disc is unreadable" OR "Unplayable disc".....??
First determine whether it's a fault with the disc or not, by having a look on the disc itself & make sure it's not scratched and there are no flaws even on it, and try other game discs on your Xbox 360 console .
If your disc is scratched or have flaws try putting other discs in your Xbox 360 console just to make sure it's the disc not the actual console causing the error, If other disc are working fine, refer to the scratched discs page on our website to know what are the steps you have to follow to get it sorted out.
If the disc is not scratched and doesn't have any flaws on it, cleaning the disc and trying it once more may solve the issue, if that doesn't work try to check it by putting other discs in your Xbox 360 console, if they all work that would be definitely a fault with the disc itself and in a case like this you have the right to exchange it from the retailer you bought it from as it's not scratched.
In all cases if other game discs are giving you the same error message "This disc is unreadable" OR "Unplayable disc" you need then to contact Xbox 360 customer support to send your console to get repaired or exchanged.

I have an xbox 360. I can play 3 games on the tour of duty 4 then it says disc is unreadable to clean disc.

you probably have a scratch on the disc, i had this happen with crackdown i could play so far into the game and it would say the same thing. you can try to fix it yourself or take it to a video store; they usually do it for a buck or two

I can go thru 3 games, after that it tells me disc is unreadable to clean disc.

Is your disc damaged? Check and see if there are any visible cracks or scratches on it.

If it doesn't work, put it in your 360, and stay on the Dashboard. Go to 'My Xbox', and then press 'Y' on Call of Duty 4. Select 'Install to Hard Drive' (make sure to have about 10GB space left, I don't know how large CoD4 will be) If it can complete the install process, then you'll be able to play.

If the install won't complete, then you might want to take the game to a store that can repair games, and get your disc repaired.

Call of duty 4

I have heard that if your console is laying flat that it will scratch your discs. hasn't happened to me but maybe you should try standing it up to avoid further discs from being scratched. To fix your call of duty 4 disc you should buy whats called a game doctor if you haven't heard of it you put your disc in it and it re-buffers your dis like it was new. if that fails the only thing i can think of would be to buy a whole new game :/

Madden 08 is unreadable with my hard drive connected

Hmm.... I encountered this once. Check the disc and check for scratches. Then, use a dry soft cloth (must not be wet at all) and rub it around the disc but don't rub the center of the disc. If this doesn't work swap the game. I mean give the Madden with the problem to EB Games or Gamestop and swap it for a brand new one. It should work fine.
