You can first backup this drive with AOMEI Partition Assistant and then recover your data from the clone.

You can try with this corrupted partition recovery software. I have utilized it, it works well. It has recovered my lost partition containing important data. You can check with the link for further details- http://www.macpartitionrecovery.com/corrupted.html

SOURCE: Bad sectors in hard disk

Download the manufacturer's diagnostic software, run it. Perhaps it can do a low-level format which will recover unusable space.

I wouldn't trust this drive with any valuable data, even if the diagnostic software works. The drive is probably soon to fail completely.

Error message that says Drive is not accessible. The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.

try other usb port, or other computer and see whether the hdd is detected. If still not, try to go to device manager ( http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000833.htm ), and then assign a drive letter to the hdd. After that, try to access it from Computer, if not able to access it, format it (use quick format) and then use asoftech data recovery program to recover your files.

Hi guy,
You can try a partition recovery software to recover your corruptted partition.I have succeed to recover deleted partition with Tenorshare data recovery. It can recover deleted, formatted, corruptted partition after deeply scanning your hard drive to look for lost data.
Anyway, you can download a trial version and scan your hard drive for free to check out whether your partition can be recovered. http://www.any-data-recovery.com/index.htm

Not installing win xp2, with installing time it's shows blue screen message, give me sollution

First delete all the partitions of your hard drive and create new partitions (if you have important files saved on the hard drive, you have to connect it on another computer and save them on another hard drive, otherwise you'll loose everything.). Format all the newly created partitions (full format) and install the Windows, that'll fix your problem.

This problem happens when hard drive has corrupted sectors (bad sectors), corrupted partitions or sometimes virus. On the other hand, ram could be the cause of the problem. It's also important to check and clean the motherboard.

If your hard drive is more than 5 years old, formatting and recreating new partitions will not help. In that case, you have to replace the hard drive.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Hello I have 1 TB WD my hard drive it don't show up on my computer but say its working

You will need to partition and format the drive before it can be accessed as a separate drive letter.

If you are using Windows XP, Click Start -> Run

Type diskmgmt.msc and press Enter

Locate the newly installed drive (Disk 1, Disk 2 etc), right click and select New -> Partition. Follow the onscreen instructions to format the partition.

When completed, you will find the drive in My Computer as a separate drive

The following guide will provide more details:

Cannot access hard drive, USB port detects it, but does not access

You can verify what drive has been detected by your Operating System, which I assume is Windows of some sort by going to: Control Panel -> Admistrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management -> Your Hard disk will be displayed with all existing partitions.
I order to use any partitions in your new drive, you will need to assign a drive letter to each new partition.
If you have a brand new drive that is completely unformatted, then you will need, also via the context menu, Create partitions, Format partitions and assign a drive letter so that you can use the formatted partitions.

Hope it helps: let me know how you go!

Sandisk 1 gb has 233 mb after formatting?how can i get my 1 gb storage spae back?

If the Sandisk 1 gb has 233 mb after formatting, then the card is usually bad and must be replaced.

Try doing a complete formatting again.

If that does not work, delete partition and try doing formatting with a tool like the one below.
If the software below does not fix the problem, then replace the card.
