Question about XtremeMac IPD-TMX-10 Tango Studio Compact Desktop Audio System - Black (842603006788)
When connecting the ipod to the Tango dock it no longer turns on the ipod. Once I turn on the Tango the ipod will not play music. A slight jiggle to the ipod makes a clicking sound inside the Tango. I'm wondering if something came loose or is broken. My three year old grandson removed the ipod from the Tango on his own. I believe that's when the problem started.
If I plug the ipod into the Line in at the back of the Tango the ipod will work. Using this method limits the origional features of charging the ipod and being able to control the ipod with the Tango's remote control. I would be willing to open up the Tango but I'm a little skeptical about my ability to do so. Any suggestions?
Hi there I have an ipod dock, and recently I went camping and sat the dock on top of a chilly bin with an umbrella over the top as it was rainning. At first when I played the ipod it did go but I was getting little electric shocks. The dock still played for another week or so and now it wont turn on.

Well your lucky the dock gave up the ghost before your ipod.
it's possible there is some damage to your ipod also but those docks will fry your ipod toot sweet.
I would not use the dock at all but if you are i would first try hooking your ipod up to a computer with a usb just to make sure it's not damaged in the charging port.
if you have a RCA jack in the dock you can use that, but the ipod is not made to play through the charging port, the docks are an after thought and I am not sure why but possibly incorrect voltage or voltage surges, but i have replaced at least 30 motherboards of customers who played them on docks.
your ipod wouldn't by chance be a 30gb video or a 3rd gen nano?
seems those are the 2 most susceptible to this issue.
My Warning: if it still plays music leave it off the dock
