Question about Acer Aspire 5580 Notebook
I have an Aspire 8930 and the battery logo on the desktop shows that there is no battery, upon clicking it it sais no battery detected.. i had the battery replaced and still nothing .. it works fine when plugged into an ac adapter but the minute it is pulled it shuts off the laptop.. so it not only does not recognize that there is a battery it also does not charge it .. what can i do, ? is it a software issue or hardware ?
Could be both. first go to the website for support and download the latest bios flash. flash your bios and see if you get your battery back. i have seen this issue appear before on HP units and the only solutions were update bios, if that didnt work. replace motherboard.
