Question about Hunter 28096 Westminster 52" Ceiling Fan with Light
I pulled the chains to have the light and fan on and used the remote to turn the fan off before turning off the light switch but when I flip the light switch on the fan is running and I have to find the remote to turn the light on. This is very annoying because it is the main light as I come into my house and I have to find the remote in the dark. Plus I am bound to lose the remote sooner or later. Was it wired wrong?
Before you conclude the fan was wired incorrectly, try this:
1. Shut off power to the fan (at the circuit breaker)
2. Remove batteries from the remote and press all the buttons to eliminate the possibility of a stuck button. Reinstall batteries
3. Turn on power to the fan and try operation
