First I would try right clicking on the installer and going to the compatibility settings and changing the installer to use windows xp sp 2 or earlier and do the same once the program has installed. If that doesn't work Installing XP mode into your system would probably your best bet but that would take some pretty decent hardware on your system to run cleanly.
right click on the document select open if you get asked to open with certain program a browse option should appear where you can selct the program you might not have the program installed on your computer that made the document you might need to install it ie: adobe directx zip word excell or something similiar hope this helps
With most PDF creators a virtual printer is created when you install the software. That is where you would adjust the paper size. When you print to your PDF printer, before you click print, click on the PDF print options, Page Setup, and the select the Paper tab. Choose the paper size that you would like the PDF to be formatted to. Click OK and the print to the PDF writer printer.
